Hello friends! We are super tail-waggingly pleased to let you in on some recent adoptions and updates....
Sadie has been adopted and is doing great. From her new family, "I can't tell you how much joy this little girl brings me every day! So grateful to Small Dog Rescue for helping me find this little fluff ball! Sadie is doing great and loves the groomer."
Cooper has found his forever home with a doting and loving family!
Kingston and Jacques, the Yorkie brothers, also found a happy ending with their very own forever family!
and Charlotte worked her magic and turned her foster mom into her forever mom!
Congrats to all the lucky dogs and their even luckier parents. We are so grateful you chose to #AdoptDon'tShop
7/31/17 UPDATE! Cooper has been adopted :)
Cooper is a sweet 7 year old Maltese who has been in a loving home his entire life. Sadly, Cooper is struggling more and more with the daily routine due to separation anxiety. His guardian has made the heartwrenching decision to surrender him in hopes that he will thrive in a new home.
Cooper prefers to be with someone 24/7 and gets very stressed when left home alone. He is currently in great hands with one of our most experienced foster parents. Once he is seen by the vet and evaluated in his foster home, Cooper will be seeking to join a new furever family. Stay tuned for more updates as this little fluff ball settles in and we get to know him better 💚
We introduced you to Bandit a couple days ago, a damaged soul in need of mending. You may not have read his entire bio, so let me take a moment to point out his successes:
❤He lets his guard down to play with toys⚾
💛He allows a harness to be placed because he loves walks🐾
💚He takes treats and wants to learn🐶
💙He follows his person and sleeps in her bed, seeking companionship despite his fear of being approached🛏
💜He allows petting during car rides and enjoys the view🚘
Bandit clearly experienced something to make him terrified of people, yet he continues to give people a chance. Sadly he would not be deemed adoptable in a shelter environment because he will growl and nip in fear if you reach toward him with a hand.
But that is only a small part of who Bandit is. There's no doubt that the actions of man caused him to behave this way, but Bandit is not giving up on people.
Bandit wants to change. He wants to transform.
You can see it in his eyes. Cautious yet determined. We will do whatever it takes and give you as much time as you need, Bandit. You are cherished. You will be the carefree soul you were born to be. We love you unconditionally sweet boy ❤💛💚💙💜
P.S. here's the handsome boy after a groom 😘

Pupdate from Rowdy's guardian/ foster failure:
